Mary Phillips Riddle is a Memphis native with an equal love for tended gardens and wild spaces. She is a graduate of Warren Wilson College, in Asheville, North Carolina, a small liberal arts work college with a focus on sustainable agriculture. Mary has worked in sustainable food systems and agricultural education since 2009, In 2011, Mary co-founded the Farm to Table Conference for Mid-South Producers. In 2012, she and her husband founded Roots Memphis Farm Academy, an incubator farm with a mission to educate, train, and launch the next generation of sustainable farmers. Currently, Mary is the Director of Environmental Education & Sustainability at Hutchison School in Memphis, Tennessee and is working toward earning her M.S. in Sustainability from Lipscomb University.
